My husband purchased the comfgo 8000 for me and I just received my chair on March 20th. Haven't had it very long but am looking forward to using it for traveling in our car and flying to other destinations since it is airline approved. So far I have found the chair very easy to use and enjoyed riding it around the neighborhood.
I did a lot of research to find a safe and reliable budget power chair and came across the recommendation from someone for the ComfyGo brand! I lost a lot of my mobility after long covid and me/cfs, being unable to stand longer than a few minutes and to walk only about 10minutes a day at most with a struggle. I pulled the trigger and got the X-6 model and it gave me some independence back for sure. It's much nicer to be in control rather than have someone pushing you in a manual one. It takes a bit of getting used to for the joystick control because based on the pressure applied to it, it can "jerk" forward a bit too much if you're pushing too hard at the start, but once used to it, it's very smooth and durable. It doesn't feel flimsy at all, and it's a huge perk that it is foldable and can fit in our smaller car that way.
It's definitely given me some life and ability to go out when previously I couldn't and it's made a huge difference to have that option!
Chair was compact and comfortable. Charge holds great and it's very user friendly and easy to operate.
I haven't traveled with it yet but I wanted to send a review on customer service . It has been exceptional!
