I am a double amputee and very particular on my needs and confort. After searching and searching I found this confygo wheelchair. Has all the features I wanted. Had no choice on the seat size cause only had 17.5 or 20. Ordered the 17.5. I had to get the extensions for my hips which did the trick. I am happy for this electric chair cause got my reclining, front turning wheels, height, no lines or curves on seat nor back. Great chair for me.
The customer service is quite acceptable.
My issue is with the fact that the wheels on the 9000 are too narrow to negotiate sand, gravel, or dirt.
I still also wish the joystick was analog instead of off/on.
Speed is not conrtolled by the joystick, so the wheelchair instantly goes to the speed setpoint, instead of being going from zero to the speed setpoint based on how far you push the joystick.
My daughter is recovering from a brain injury and only walk short distances. This chair has given her more independence. It is easy to drive and handles most of the terrain (not sand) around our property. The seat is comfortable. You are able to disengage the motor so the chair can be manual pushed. So far I am impressed with the battery life!
Only downside is a cup holder! I wish it came with an attachment mounting bar to put in the other armrest. I’ve tried a few bags and cup holders but none are secure. If you put a cup holder on the back bar (not much space either), the rider will have the attachment piece in his/her back.
I use a walker, but needed a chair unexpectedly when I injured my knee. This suits me well. I can manage it, and my family can lift it to put it in their SUV. It is comfortable, and I am getting the hang of driving it. It does well on uneven terrain as well. The braking feels safe. Batteries seem to hold their charge a long time, and give me long travel time. Nice to have a "spare" battery as well. I am well pleased.
I jist unboxed and set up my Comfygo G5 mobility chair. I am grateful to the Team Gleason organization who provided this chair to me at no cost! I was an ultra athlete before ALS and going outdoors is super important to me. My aging parents are my caretakers and it is difficult for them to push me in my manual chair as far as I want to go. This chair will allow me to be more independent and gain back some of the freedom in my life that ALS has stolen. This will make things easier on my parents too. I did a trial ride and I know already that I am going to love it. The battery is charging now and I am planning my first outing.
